eight years of failed experiments.

Sad, Shocking, Incredible , Wicked and Unproductive. These are some of the many words that will readily fit the practices, utterances and of course antics and modus of the outgoing administration. It has been eight worst years in the hands of evil despots, and returnee millitary pensioners who capitalised on our collective political passivity and penchants for peace and unity of the country to do us in.
Eight years ago, they came with a lot promises viz, to build and reformed the nation and to take the entire country to the desired level of global political equillibrum with other developed nations.Today they are beating thier chest in absolute defiance to the many agonies of the nigerian populace. But we should be glad that they have finally decided to leave the stage, even though reluctantly to new players who, experience has shown will not do any better than them.
That they waited this long to be flushed out by the constitution shows the winner takes all instincts in them and equally exposed thier intentions right from day one.In other countries where conscience takes centre stage, these bigots would have long voluntarily threw in the towel for poseterity reasons, but here in our part of the world, such things as resignation does not exist in thier political register.
Some of them will no doubt leave one post to the other.Does this suggest that they did well and the only way to tell them thank you was to offer them another trial and error position?Or could it just mean that they cannot bear the experience we ordnary citizens face that is why they won at all cost to pepertuate themselve in office. For certainly, as we know those nigerians that where born with the desire to change the course of the nation positively had all been exchanged for those who will change the purse of thier godfathers.
But as we strut further closer to the dawn of a new era, a glimmer of hope seems to appear on the horizon. This ray of hope, albeit faintly, seems to suggest that since the outgoing administration could not steal, kill, destroy , and cart away everything, then certainly the incoming one will only succeed in taking some and leaving some for the one that will come after it.Despondency has made us to believe that it is truly a vicious circle of thieves and plane armed robbers in public services. Can we agree less?So as the march towards the handing over date progresses with the attendant waste of collosal sums in logistics, the neutrals and ordnary people can only wish the inconing administation a perfect, smoother and sophisticated style and approach of meddling with the PEOPLE's MONEY.
The first eight years could only deliver aggression, vindictiveness, malice, prejuduce, hatred ,poverty, and FAILED PROJECTS.Lets guess what the incoming one will bring.HOPE/LESS/FULL.Make sense out of it for your deciphering.

Nigeria for sale (2)!!!

Nigerians are yet to see the incalculable harm that this desperate administration has done to the already weak economy! I assure you that Sani Abacha wasn't as heartless in comparison.

Sale of Kaduna Refinery

I hear Kaduna Refinery was sold out today for a paltry sum of $5million! What a pity and collossal waste. If Yaradua will be sincere in his resolve to better the lives of Nigerians, i think he shd start with the refineries buyback. How can OBJ in his "Infallible wisdom" sell off the only working refineries (PH & KD) to his friends? He really wants to see that he cuts the life line that nigerians are hanging on. Hmmm... what do i wish that man?

What a legacy

My contemplated plans to travel to Nigeria was finally put off this morning when the Euro News reported that the European Union (EU) has joined the league of mounting opposition when it demanded that Nigeria should re-run the 2007 election which according to local and international observers was sufficiently rigged.

With this position taken by the EU, Obasanjo is finished in the eyes of the world leaders. Obj, though shameless as the case may be, will be the last to heed this call by the EU and other concerned bodies to have the swearing in of Yar'adua suspended.

I weep for Obj for leaving Nigerians much more dreaded (political and economically) than 8 yrs ago even when it's clear that the opportunity to take Nigeria to a new uhuru was just on our door step. It is so awful that Nigerians continues to live under this terrible state as the picture on ground suggests today.

Too shameful for the black race!

Fundamentals of nigerian problem

I. Constitution: The present constitution is militarised and is a product of the military. It gives the president too much power that after some months in power , he becomes power drunk and a bulldozer that bullies any dissenter. It is ethnic prejudiced . The northern generals who made it had the interest of the north as their priority. The constitution must be changed to represent or manifest a true federation and democracy.

2. A true federation. The present political structure is too despotic with a centralized power in the centre, the centre is ultra powerful that it manipulates the judiciary and legislature alot. Recently, the courts have free air because OBJ does not want to leave a total despotic legacy behind. All the same , when it is a do or die affair the presidency does have its way. Atiku won the court cases because the presidency knew that INEC is in its pocket. They knew that as long as they are in charge, the election result is their own making. The presidency control the country finance and resources that the states survival is on its mercy. The central power must be weakened and police should be in state control.

3. Resource control: The states should be allowed to control their resources and contribute or pay some percent to the federal purse. This is the only way there can be peace in the Niger Delta.Other states without oil will wakeup from their slumber and invent a means of survival. Invention , competition beget progress

4. Aristocracy: Nigeria has always been ruled by a few half baked persons. Check out- Gowon, Buhari, IBB, Abacha , OBJ , Yaradua. Go through the biography of all these men, you will see that a bad omen is in the leadership of Nigeria. These are military oppotunists who are always given the destiny of 150 million people to pilot. And ,ofcource , they always carry our destiny and life to the state of destruction. Nigerians need intelligent, enlightened men to lead them and anything short of this, is a charade. We need to adopt a system where leadership is based on meritocracy.

My people, the above recommendations are against northern interest and as long as northerners dominate nigerian politics and power , the right thing will never be done, Nigeria will not have peace, unity and progress.OBJ is a northern puppet who cannot undermine northern interest when they are majority in the parliament and the constitution bestows dominance to the north. It will always be one step foward, three steps backwards. From decade to decade, from regime to regime, the same story- dictatorship, looting, insecurity, bore hole water, no light, no job, poor medical service, bad road, molue and okada as transport, etc in the presence of OIL.

GIVE PEACE A CHANCE.

l wonder why some people wants to crucify obasanjo for all the bad happenings around. To me Obasanjo has tried and God will bless him for that but dont let us forget that hes a human being like us.....not perfect at all.must we kill him for the sins committed by some devils in sheep clothings amongst us.
May GOD BLESS Obasanjo and give him a peaceful rest after leaving aso rock.We are going forward and forward we will go........nigerians should always remember that nothing good comes easy.......most of these critics are the same people embezzling money, buying houses abroad for thier girlfriends and wives.,they will now come back to say Obasanjo is bad..corrupt as if hes NIGERIA.
Even at the ministries its terrible........we need arevolution in this country but who is ready to carry guns...ARE YOU?..SO LETS COME TOGETHER AND WORK THINGS OUT...Those that cand o it like obasanjo should come out and stop criticising in their closets. Our youths should talk to our parents..our parents.....even in political circle or not should change for the better. But for now...lets be positive about this issue cause things are gonna get better......lets not allow sentiments rule us.

Heartless OBJ

If only OBJ were human,he would have not forgotten easily how God saved him from the hands of Abacha. If only Abacha had spent just on day, this tyrant of a president would have decayed in the ground and Nigerians would have had thier peace. But God is not asleep.OBJ would pay for putting Nigerians through hell.

The 2007 Elections and 8 years misrule of OBJ

It is a pity that Nigerians suffer from what I refer to as "SEIECTIVE AMNESIA and SELECTIVE MYOPIA" they tend to loose memories and sight so quickly and our corrupt leaders have often taken advantage of this to deal mercilessly with the citizens. We have forgotten how OBJ arbitrarily and inceasantly increased Petroleum products prices when he ruled us as a SOJA, We did not see the mess he made with the Nigerias economy with PHILIP ASIODU as his economic adviser, the Obasanjo IDI-AMIN Uganda saga, the evils are numerous to recount, but that was the past, now the present,Nigerians forgot that OBJ NEVER won the 1999 elections but in severe agitation for Democracy, we accepted him,Nigerians turned their eyes away from the evils of this so called MESSIAH and in 2003 we gave him residential permit to remain in ASO ROCK,there he was and grew bigger than Nigeria and became a monster. The most dangerous dimension is that this monster has cloned himself to remain in power even when he is out by imposing his baby monsters on NIGERIANS and we will soon forget this, it is a pity.

IT IS ONLY IN OBASANJO'S REGIME THAT WE HEARD THAT MORE THAN FIFTY YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN WENT FOR THE SAME ROBBERY OPERATION.ONE DAY SUCH A TROOP WILL DECIDE TO DESTROY OBASANJO AND HIS CO-CRIMINALS. THAT IS VERY SOON. NIGERIA WILL SHAKE SOON, THE ARMY WILL ENTER THE STREETS AND KILL POLITICIANS BECAUSE THEY ARMY ARE ALL YOUTHS WHOSE RETIREMENT WILL BE SPENT LIVING UNDER BRIDGES AND BEGGING ON THE STREETS. OBJ flags off construction of 2nd Niger Bridge

In the absence of something to commission, our VISIONARY commissioner-in-chief would do just anything to remain in the news. What does this one mean?

4 days to go, Obj still deluded

This old man called Obj should know that Nigereians he met in 1999 is no longer the same people he is about leaving. Why all these last minute flagging off of niger bridge and other projects?. What's he been doing all these years, only to be waiting for the last minute? Apart from seeking glory that had fast eluded him, i guess he wanted to add it in his profile and to assuage the Ibos he had vehemently neglected for 8 solid yrs. Honestly, old age is telling hard on him, and lest he thinks that he is smart or can fool everyone, it smacks ones imagination that old man of his age cannot be rational. It takes a country like Nigeria to tolerate such excesses together with that of his cronies like Adedibu. Can't Nigeria army restrain Adedibu as it's obvious that the police in Nigeria lacks the will power or rather too weak to dare such characters. It's unfortunate in Nigeria that noone is watching the watchers, and the consequence of it is that when a man becomes a judge in his own case, one should not expect him to convict himself. I bid him farewell with all his ill gotten wealth. the Bible says that the consequent of such is that the wealth would outlive the acquirer and would end up in the hands of people that never worked for it. maybe his enemies would be the ones to enjoy it. bye obj and may your actions in 8yrs of misrule in Nigeria speak for you even in eternity.

Senate and Iwu

I never like the senate, they are dogs that bark without biting. When you throw a piece of meat to a dog , it keeps calm, the same to the senate , when you throw Ghana must go bags to it, it keeps mute. The senate is making a threat to arrest Iwu but in a couple of weeks time, it will be a different story. Senate succeeded to stop OBJ from having a third term ,but, believe me ,the deal was really done by northern political elites because OBJ third term is against their interest. In Nigeria, anything against northern interest fails and what is for their interest succeeds. This time around, jailing Iwu is not northern interest, probably is against northern interest because Iwu gave power back to the north. In that case, Ghana must go bags can settle the conflict.I guess Iwu has not distributed enough, probably, he is too selfish.
