Atiku: OBJ is suffering from “disengagement trauma

Then make him PDP Vice Chairman of Board of Trustees and continue to work together. I'm sure Nigerians would like you to set the ball rolling by being the first person to undergo your recommended psychiatric test for our leaders.

OBASANJO'S MANY LASTS SUPPERS

PHarcourt refinery sold illegally to friends of Obasanjo May 18, 2007

President Olusegun Obasanjo’s pending exit from the seat of power in Aso Rock, Abuja has displayed clear signs of dubiousness in the manner with which the outgoing administration has engaged in business dealings considered heartless and careless concerning the privatization of Nigerian refineries, particularly that of Port Harcourt.

Some of the informed players within the political alter in Abuja view the latest moves by the outgoing administration as comparable to that of Dictator Sani Abacha – during the days that led to the murder of Ken Saro Wiwa by Dictator Sani Abacha.

According to information received by Ukpakareports, President Olusegun Obasanjo mysterious stoppage of the privatization of Port Harcourt Refinery only about three months ago has raised suspicions over Obasanjo’s transparency when President Olusegun Obasanjo turned around with only two weeks to May 29, 2007, to re-initiate the privatization process again - this time behind closed doors.

Ukpakareports have gathered that Obasanjo has thus ensured that due process is not followed. In so doing, Bureau of Public Enterprise {BPE} did not follow or go through due process as regarding the privatization of Port Harcourt Refinery. According to reports, Obasanjo has taken it as a do or die affair to privatize Port Harcourt Refinery.

To this extend, President Olusegun Obasanjo has secretly invited four {4} companies to bid on the refinery, namely:

Indorama
Dangote
Transcorp
OandO

On May 14, 2007, President Obasanjo took his entourage including the new prospective buyers to Port Harcourt to finalize the privatization process under the disguise of going to Ogoni for peace talks. However, concerned experts have raised a red flag over the incestuous relationship between President Obasanjo and the secretly invited bidders.

As Ukpakareports have discovered in what appears even more suspicious is that one of the bidders – Oando {which is owned by Obasanjo and his son – O and O} is reported by workers at the Port Harcourt Refinery to have already begun the usage of many of the large storage tanks for its private use.

Reports received by Ukpakareports indicate that President Obasanjo leased the storage facilities at the government owned refinery to his company Oando – and the company has been using the storage facility to store materials which the plant operators state – they are not aware what material being stored. Ukpakareports have also discovered that the leasing of storage facilities to OandO to be a serious National Security Breach.

Adding to the suspicion hovering over Obasanjo’s head are the reasons stated by Obasanjo for wanting to privatize the refinery. According to Obasanjo, the sale of the refinery will bring about a better, efficient and increased output compared to the present situation at the refinery where it is reported to be producing little to no refined products.

However the leasing of the storage facility by President Obasanjo to his company – OandO that has continuously caused refined products {PMS} exiting the effluent lines to be discarded/wasted due to limited storage facility - introduces an interesting aspect to the unfolding tomfoolery in the whole Obasanjo led privatization saga. One of the plant Engineers who has worked over 20 years at the Port Harcourt refinery {PHRC} told Ukpakareports that at the PHRC two treatment trains are operative – the Area 3 and the other which he referred to as the Internal.

The Engineer who sought to remain anonymous explained that the Area 3 train was one of the first refining trains built in Africa and that it was still functional – but the cooling tower has been faulty thus causing the system to continuously overheat – and shutting down the treatment train. He added that the other treatment train {Internal} remains operative but consorted efforts by upper management to deny the workers with the necessary tools and repairs to ensure a smooth treatment - subverted the integrity of the refinement trains.

He added also that since Obasanjo leashed the storage facilities to his company, all products exiting the effluent line have been wasted – and thus adding to the problem of inefficiency – and lending credence to the argument to privatize the refinery. It is worthy to note that PHRC is the only refinery currently producing products.

As Ukpakareports have also gathered, Obasanjo privatization crusade may be propelled by a tint of tribalism and acute tendency to marginalize the South South and South East as harbored through his psychological experience during the Nigerian Civil war.

To date, the President has privatized nearly all NNPC assets in the Niger Delta – including the National Fertilizer Company of Nigeria, Eleme Petrochemical, and now the Port Harcourt Refinery Company. The fear entertained by many of the oil workers in Port Harcourt who spoke anonymously to Ukpakareports is that the moves by the President and his cohorts will undoubtedly destabilize the region with increased rate of joblessness, poverty, stealing and thus militancy.

One of the authoritative sources that spoke with Ukpakareports put it candidly that “Obasanjo has used the resources of the Niger Delta to develop the Southwestern part of the nation - OK LNG with two refineries, Toyota Assembling plant Ota farm etc.”

t the refinery, the workers and their Union leaders – in speaking with Ukpakareports expressed worry that everything is being done in secret, that there must been a hidden agenda. They fear the process would render thousands jobless and as early retirees.

According to one of the information received by Ukpakareports, more than 3,000 workers (experienced and Graduate Trainee) were employed by NNPC - and now that President Obasanjo has come to privatize the refinery, the worry is - what will be the fate of these people, the fate of the Niger Delta and the country at large.

This is as Ukpakareports have obtained an agreement document signed the two Unions involved – PENGASSEN {Comr. Peter Esele – President & Comr. Bayo Olowosile – General Secretary} and NUPENG {Comr. Peter Akpatason – President & Comr. I. O. Aberare – General Secretary}, and officials representing both the NNPC and the BPE. {Click to view document}.

The document titled “Memorandum of Understanding reached between BPE, NUPENG, and PENGASSAN at a meeting held in BPE conference hall, Abuja on Wednesday May 9, 2007” highlights in passing the illegal sale of Stallion House to an undisclosed operative believed to be close to the federal government – Stallion manages the refineries’ pension fund.
For this reason, workers at the refinery have begun protesting publicly at the refinery – for Obasanjo not to temper with their pension fund.

Ukpakareports operative who attempted to gain entrance into the premises was violently discarded out of the refinery by uniformed men who threatened to destroy the reporters’ camera and other recording device should the report not disappear from the venue.

No pictures were allowed and no public interviews were allowed. The following morning, seven men with 7 seven AK47s dressed in plain cloths appeared at the entrance of the location where Ukpakareports’ reporter was staged. The armed men abusively inquired of the “MAN” occupying the residence. They then drove away minutes later in the bushes.

Ukpakareports is not sure of what to make of their visit but it remains a patriotic call for every Nigerian citizen to ask the pertinent questions – of who is behind OandO, Indorama Dangote that they should be so favored by the Obasanjo government. Every patriotic Nigerian should ask why the Federal Government wants to keep the owners or rather the buyers of National Fertilizer Company of Nigeria, a secret.

Why is Dangote in the entourage of the president elect? Why is Obasanjo in a hurry to privatize now that he has barely two weeks to hand over to the incoming president elect? It will remain pertinent for all peace loving Nigerian to fight against this heartless corruption. The lives of the masses are at stake".

DIPLOMAT CAUGHT WITH $2.3M SAYS IT PACK OF CLOTHES

Nigerian Diplomat Caught With $2.3 Million Cash!

A senior Nigerian diplomat was caught seeking to spirit away $2.27 million (Rs 10 crore) in cash. It triggered suspicions of a nexus between officials from the African country and its thriving drug syndicates, as well as the possibility of payment of protection money by Indian companies operating there, particularly those involved in oil exploration.

Captain G A Ojedokun, defense adviser to the Nigerian high commissioner here, is being questioned by Income Tax and Enforcement Directorate officials, but would soon be let off because of the diplomatic immunity he enjoys.

Interestingly, the biggest-ever cash haul was made just a day before the new Nigerian high commissioner is scheduled to present his credentials to President A P J Abdul Kalam.

Ojedokun was caught when Indian Airlines staffers handling the baggage on the early morning shift at the Indira Gandhi International Airport were alerted by the X-ray images of contents of his bag. When asked, the Nigerian tried to fob off IA employees saying the bag contained clothes only.

The suspicious baggage handlers, however, refused to let him go even when the protocol officer of MEA accompanying the diplomat strongly intervened on his behalf, citing diplomatic immunity and seeking a smooth passage for Ojedokun .

Yar'Adua's presidential inauguration to gulp N820m

Just to take an oath of office that may be violated from day one? President Lyndon Johnson was sworn in on a flight to Washington DC without people watching or money wasted, but in this part of the world, only Murphy's law holds: if there is a wrong way of doing things, we must find it.

The April Poll

I have not heard anyone who stated that the poll was free or fair (Relatively Peacefyl yes). What we, who are a little bit liberal, are saying is that there are lesgitimate and legal avenue for seeking redress. Why do we need to heat up the system for the sake of losing (even fraudulent losses!).
Let us see this 'robbery' as a sacrifice we all need to pay to sustain democracy in this country. One thing is sure, those who are going away with the rigging this time around are aware that NIGERIANS are alert and watching. Their so-called success is but for a while. If you dont have what it takes, you cannot give what you do not have. EFCC, ICPC, Due process are all lying in the wait for you.
What we all should ensure is that waht INEC promised to buy to conduct the elections should be there before the next election!
Those who are shouting FOUL now were the same set of people who never allowed the electronic voting methjod to sail through! Have you ever stopped to ask yourself why a PDP-led government will oppose a bill proposed by a PDP-installed INEC? It was all a charade to make Nigerians believe their so called policy - Papa Decieve Pickin.
God save Nigeria and Bless our land.

Re: John Lawrence You'd have known b4 now

My dear, It's no news that Obj is a dishonest man who since inception of his administration has been evading responsibilities by using propaganda. I think he should be suffering from old age with worse case of senile dementia. A man that invested in the aborted third term agenda, now saying that he never coveted for it. He really underestimated Nigeria, hoping that Mugabe strategy could work in Nigeria. But unbeknownest to him, Nigerians as a complex nation cannot easily be taken for a ride like that. All those his strategies had failed, and even the recent tactics of using unprofessional and naive journalists with poison pen in Thisday newspaper, he is now compelled to face the reality at the end of the game that he has just ended up the same way his predecessors ended, and that necessitated his rationalization with all his mudslinging and stuff. Well, I am wishing him happy exit and may Nigeria never have reminiscent of him and other notorious leaders we have had in the past. Lastly, I commend the wisdom of Senate in trying to show Iwu (The fraudulent INEC chairman) the short cut to Kirikiri. In my own estimation, Kirikiri would be a child's play, and Guatamano Bay prison should be a deserved place for him.

Now You See? He Think s we are Fools

Did you hear OBJ over the weekend?
He came up with this chilling and psychopatic idea that it was a drug baron that killed our Bola Ige. But failed to tell us who this baron is? Why not arrested and tried and why it is an attorney general now that investiagte cases instead of police?

Then he told us that Atiku gave people who came and told him $5k to impeach him. OBJ did not tell us why he failed to call EFCC as he did with Wabara/Osuji? Did this dishonourable members kept the money or returned it to Atiku or the police? We can accuse Atiku about just everything but we knew that it was OBJ that destroyed the independence of the national assembly and instigated various leadership crisis the engulfed the senate/NASS that ended with Okadigbos death.

Then he became a more serious comedian when he said that he never work towards 3rd term and would have got it if he wanted. Yes you would have got it if the tool to realise it is in your hand just like INEC was in your hand to manipulate but the Senate in particular isn't.

This moronic president think that we are fools. Whatever you said to justify your evil dictatorial 8 years on Nigerians. In fact I don't blame him. I blame ourselves who had made him think that we are fools, just as we will be again from May 29 2007

SHOULD WE LEAVE IT TO GOD?

Someone has suggested that going to tribunal to seek justice will not help but let's leave it to God. I must have to ask the name of this particular God or gods that we should leave things to? Whether that god was asleep or still dozzing when we left things like NPN rigging/landslide for him in 1979/1983, OBJ's 2003 seaslide or Babangida slap on our face over June 12 1993? Why this god kept dossile when Peter Obi was robbed by the Uba clan until Peter got justice by fighting and doing something and ignore the gods?

I suppose if pan Africanist like Nkrumah, Kenyatta, Azikiwe etc has left things for this god, may be we will still be ruled today by the whiteman. If the likes of Malcom X / Dr Martin Luther King and other civil right leaders had left things for this god to sort out, African Americans and minorities will still be treated still as second class citizens in their own country till today.
What about Mandela and ANC? If they had left thing to god, what do you think would had happened with aparthied and Pieta Botha? Sometimes our faith can turn us into aparthetic moronic twats who cannot reason at all from our right hand to our left. They forgot that God helps those who help themselves. I've never seen any successful nation that succeeded because they left god to sort it out without doing anything. It will be like trying to loss weight without been on any sort of dieting regime or hoping that your Mrs will get pregnant with sex or IVF. How will that work? Until we wake up and fight for our rights, things will never change. Swallowing every needle and pin thrown at us, all in the name of hollow Nigerian peace that never exist will on succeed in embolding our enemies (politicians) to continue to rape us in the broad day light of the day.
