"...Any federal politician who tries what you're suggesting will end up nailing his entire political carrier..."

I am truly disturbed by your comment above. A politician, as a public potential servant, ought to volunteer or be compelled to operate an open-door policy. If your statement above reflects the popular mentality, then we have a very long way to go.

What do you know about the pros and cons in politics? Any federal politician who tries what you're suggesting will end up nailing his entire political carrier.

For now live your private life, respond to your clients needs (hope not the super multimedia type P...?).

Hide it no more if it's clean, people enter their web pages into search engines for others to have a glance of it. Maybe your forum might be our next meeting point?

Temi,

You still do not get it, and i have not written in Greek.

Whatever the system, you do not have to be a money bag or a programming guru. And you do not require any government approval to operate a PRIVATE OR PERSONAL, web page. And that suffices in my context.

And you do not require the approval of your SS or EFCC or whatever to operate a personal web page, and you should not be disturbed, except perhaps, your purpose of acquiring it is dubious.

You're beginning to talk sense by admitting your little knowledge of the system. Another thing I want you to know is that in government things are not done as simple as you thought. Now you're ordinary man, you can lug in anytime/anywhere register a page and publish whatever/however. As a politician it's quite different, you mind your ways. Every step you take is monitored for whatever reason because you're a government man, paid by government. You don't just log in to the internet just to have a cheap web site, and a lot of things you cannot see now are involved. The only option remains the very physical, legitimate and much more expensive variant. In government everything is expensive. Know it from today.

EFCC

Why do you go extra miles along the southern axis only- ALAMIE and Kalu assets liquidated and they might be kept in prison probably indefinitely without real court trial or an end to it. I know some ex-governors in the south are still free because they sponsored Yaradua selection and are big PDP donors. If not they would have been taught a lesson as third class citizen which the southerners are in today Nigeria . I am fully in support of antigraft crusade but it has to be done diligently and transparently. What of the other 29 governors + OBJ. Stop this selective game and act judiciously, otherwise , your action might back fire. Mark my word !

Temi,

To run a personal web page, with facilities for multiple e-mail addresses, personal chartroom, and the BASIC tools for a politician to run and manage an effective and interactive TEXT COMMUNICATION does not require the sophisticated web base of a multitasking, multimedia network; the type that you will require in a major corporation. You may go up in the spectrum and establish your own equivalent of Google.

The essence of my reference was not to prove to you (or anyone for that matter) what a great "web master" i was. I am not one, and i have not claimed to be a "master" or genius.

The point was to communicate that you do not require all the millions (as is the tradition in Nigeria) before you can do simple things- whatever your naira exchange rate is. The technology is available and cheap. To suggest that i require a webmaster or "programmer" to manage a simple web page in 2007 is to suggest that i need to go back to Basic programming to conduct a simple accounting task in the availability of excel.

And, sorry, you may only seek my web page if i think i have a business with you.

MR BALA YAKUB

It is really funny that people condemn this forum and The Sun newspaper, but keep coming back. If you dont like something about this forum or the newspaper, keep it to yourself. You have the option of either ignoring it or going to another forum.

MR BALA YAKUB
This forum if free-of-charge, Sunnewsonline.com is also the same. Why bother yourself? If there is anyone to complain, it is probably those that buy the hard copy of Sun Newspaper, they are the ones that pay for it. You are rejoicing that the newspaper's account was frozen, and you came back here to quickly announce it. Ok, I assumed that that would be the end of your visit to the forum, but lo and behold, you are still visiting. if you are not, you wouldn't have known that Tony replied you. Was it to check if the site has stop functioning? Why do you keep coming back, if the forum is dominated by igbo extremists? Were you expecting that freezing the account will stop the newspaper from existing or people like us from posting our comments on Nigerian issue?

Answer: At least for now we are still enjoying the privilege, untill further notice and we will continue to post our feelings.

We know what the Igbo problem is - a few greedy leaders - and the Igbo's are gradually sorting that out. That does not exempt other ethnic groups from having the same problem. Eg Turaki and his N30b third term agenda loot and Obasanjo and his 8 years of retrogressive rule.

Please save yourself the treatment that was given to Sherrif and enjoy whatever you can from participating in this forum, I bet there are some advantages even to you, or better still, stop visiting.

I am sure a lot of people are tired of this unending complaints.

re:Emeka - $10 (13,000 naira)

Emeka, I do not wish to enter into argument with you. The fact is that we belong to different classes when it comes to IT. That Godaddy.com suggest cheap or free domain for its customers does not make it's free which actually can never be free. Only in a case of third/forth class domains.

COM, BIZ, US, EDU, GOV, NET, ORG, MIL, and hopefully NG for Nigeria and so many others are registered names with ICANN under the transactional (sum) agreement which can range between $50,000 and upwards. These are called first class DNs under the DNS arrangement. Owners can resell or offer franchise to other smaller companies to the least generally known as internet and DN providers and such other communication services.

Since you based your argument on cheap services and less expertise, may I see your web site (address) and that of your 10 year old nephew? That you thought you spent $10/yr to run your web site shows your ignorance of the industry. You may ask your local internet provider how much you really Consume (spend) every month and under what mbite/c?

I'm looking forward for the wonders of a genius!

Re:Bala Yakub

It is very rude of you to dare call those who contribute in this forum as 419 persons.
Let me tell you I do not need the help of any Nigerian as I am comfortable with my job in the UK and no Nigerian company can give me the peace of mind I currently have.
I left the country and was educated by the British Government without any hassles which will always make me to be grateful to them every moment of my life.I participate in this forum due to the instant posting which I enjoy.
I have relatives in the country who continue to moan of the hardships they experience back home hence I post articles and for you to accuse people of fraud is very unkind of you.
Cheers.
