Posted By: Prabhat Sinha Posted On: Mar 2, 2005 Views: 812 | Rajeev Bhaiya You are right. Many nameless (or fake name) people come and drop communal news (fraud) to start debate on communal/religion line. I have written a mail to bihartimes.com to publish IP address of the writer automatically when he/she posts something. We must not let any to abuse this free/uncensored platform of Bihar. Appeal to all - ples. discuss Bihar and it's issue. This platform is for citizen of Bihar. Jai Bihar |

Posted By: Pappu Yadav II Posted On: Mar 2, 2005 Views: 805 | India is a funny country Recently I watched the movie Mr. & Mrs. Iyer and learned that how if a muslim is killed in India due to some personal anmosity, our leaders of secular India will convert it to communal riot. That reminded me of a killing of a Bihari terrorist muslim girl (Ishrat Jehan Sheikh) in Gujrat, all political leaders were ready to give their life for her. Long live secular India. Politicians keep dividing us unless Indians are ready for another Pakistan. |
Posted By: Prabhat Sinha Posted On: Mar 2, 2005 Views: 800 | Rajesh Opposite of casteiest society in NOT casteless society. I am sure that casteism (in bad sense) is going to reduce (and not at that slow pace) once development kicks in. Jai Bihar |
Posted By: Rajesh Posted On: Mar 2, 2005 Views: 807 | Castiesm vs. development in recent election Dr Manish Kumar, You correctly observed that development was an agenda in recent election (though castiesm was there as usual). Laloo too focused on development in his campaign. Though elected representatives stink but I think it is good sign. I am not aware of caste composition of the new assembly, but it appears that it is lopsided (in favour of upper castes). If so then it can derail the "development" agenda. Caste issue will remain in backburner only if all sections feel fairly represented. |
Posted By: Rajdeep Sardesai Posted On: Mar 2, 2005 Views: 803 | Great MPs For those who do not know Shahabuddin, here is a brief introduction. Three time MP from Siwan, he has over a dozen cases of murder, extortion and kidnapping against him. Whenever he has gone to jail, he has come out almost just as quickly, often finding comfort in a local hospital on the grounds that he is "unwell". Three years ago, he had the distinction of being perhaps the first active member of parliament involved in a police encounter. Seven members of his gang were killed in the encounter, while Shahabuddin escaped. However, instead of being arrested the moment he resurfaced, the Bihar government accused the police of "targeting" the MP. http://www.ndtv.com/columns/showcolumns.asp |
Posted By: Pappu Yadav Posted On: Mar 2, 2005 Views: 805 | India has earned rights to have few years of emergency to sort out its problems. |
Posted By: Pappu Yadav Posted On: Mar 2, 2005 Views: 803 | Laloo is right In bihar and Jahrkhand, Lathi ko tail pilani jayada jarrori hein, even if their is no ink in pens. Jis ke haath mein ho gi lathi, wahi bhais le jayega - Ramchandra kaha gaye Siya se ... Bihar development is based of Lathi based economy. |
Posted By: Prabhat Sinha Posted On: Mar 2, 2005 Views: 705 | Ani Babu You need to go through the constitution once again. Does it have any word like pre-poll alliance and post-poll alliance? Should I start telling you how BJP abondened pre-poll alliance and did some post-poll alliance. Check how BJP left pre-poll alliance with Lakshmi (widow of N.T. Ramrao) and did post-poll alliance with Chandrababu Naidu when Naidu won election for the first time. There are other instances also. BJP knows it very well "jo jita wo sikandar" Governor is NOT mathematician, he has to determine who is to provide stable govt. Making Nitish was farce of Democracy as in making Soren as CM of Jharkhand. Frauds (governors) will always give some logic to their decision. Jai Bihar. |
Posted By: Pappu Yadav Posted On: Mar 2, 2005 Views: 705 | un-written law If any country, state or city is ruled by a person and his family members for over 10 years - Democracy will be dead. Arrogance, aristocracy and dictatorship will take over and only sycophants will survive in that dictatorship. |
Posted By: Anil Kumar Posted On: Mar 2, 2005 Views: 706 | Prabhat bhaiya here is the constitutional norm which was followed and has consistently been followed throughout by everybody other than congressi: Strogest of pre-poll alliance or Party gets invited to form the government.. and as it happened pre-poll alliance of NDA did tipped RJD in that election by slender margin Point to note post-poll alliance doesn't count for forst invitation like congressi supporting RJD. And this is fully logical how can a Janta be duped within days when u go to ask vote against some party right after the elction u claim actally u support that party.. Well tried but failed as usual.. |
Posted By: Dr.Manish Kumar Posted On: Mar 2, 2005 Views: 702 | castism development Bihar and recent election i believe that if some one compares the out come of different elections in any part of india, it will be easy to infer that castism is losing its edge to economy. i am seeing similar trend in bihar too. ultimately everyones stomach is the most important thing for him. development has come to the first row among the slogans. i am hopefull that may be late but ultimately and lastly those who try to sharpen it will lose for ever. |
Posted By: Prabhat Sinha Posted On: Mar 2, 2005 Views: 700 | I was wrong in saying that Nitish Kumar was CM of Bihar for 2-3 days. He was CM for 08 (eight) days (03-March-2000 to 10-March-2000) thanks to then govt. in centre. Jai Bihar. |
