Pleasant Surprise

It was really a pleasant surprise for me when I saw the result after giving my vote to Shri Nithish Kumar. It was pleasant in the sense that most of the readers have chosen him as the MP no. one (getting 34% of vote and second is merely 9% !!!). So looks like every one sees Shri Nitish Kumar as the only prominent leader in Bihar. I hope very soon he will guide Bihar as the next Chief Minister.

Thanks to you all how have voted him.

Proud or Shame

We should come out with any feeling of caste, religion or creed. We all should think and work for the betterment of Bihar. That would be the only solution. Bihar has a beautiful history and it the that piece of land from where the culture, education, peace and prosperity started spreading across the world. and after teaching all this, we ourselves have forgotten the same. This is all because of low literacy rate and an attitude of taking everything for granted. That day is not far when elections are proposed and we should vote consciously for the betterment of Bihar.

Casteless specie

Let's all welcome Vinod, a rare specie who claims to be "casteless", to this forum!
You must be a fool or ?? to engage in discussion without keeping caste in mind.
It is reality and you can't shut your eyes and pretend it is not there. Further, I argue what's wrong with caste? It is ethnic identity of people. However, it is wrong when people are discriminated for belonging to particular castes. It is wrong when Bhumihars kill Dalits. Bhumihars may have superiority complex but Dalits (Naxelites) are more cultured. They don't target women and children like Bhumihars (Ranbir sena).
We should focus on discussion how to end discrimination based on caste.

Discussion

Dear All:
I have been following the discussion you all are having on different issues. I have to admit, the level of discussion has been so low and mean that sometimes you really start to wonder- Will Bihar ever improve? If educated people like you all are still bound with the Caste and Regional feelings, no one can save Bihar to going down further. Friends do not take anything for granted. The country as a whole will not bear the burden of a non-performing state like Bihar for long. If we dont get our act together, Bihar will be left alone to fend for itself. Get up from your sleep and move away from the narrow confines of castism and work together for development.

To youths of Bihar

I seriously think that it is our misfortune that we still want to select a lawmaker of our own caste and even while selecting a Best MP we are looking the caste of a person. I think now it is the time when we youth of Bihar should try to change the mind set of our people to think above the caste and religion and have a global look.
A MP is a person only, please don’t look him as a Kayastha, or a Bhumiyar or a Mohammedan. I would also appreciate you people if you please restrict yourself of writing any slang in this comment option, as it is a public forum and anybody can read it.
So please come ahead and try to bring the bright side of Bihar to the stage of world. I also want to request the BiharTimes.com conduct voting for best intellectuals, best writers and scholars of Bihar rather than for MPs and criminals .

Thanks to all for your patience

continued.......

dear all,
this is all getting a bit too far.Just because no kayastha can win an election and needs to get in through the back door does not mean you attack them mindlessly.Laloo and Shaahabuddin are politicians and they need goons and guns to win lok sabha elections which you dont need to win rajya sabha anyway

To Rajesh

Hey Rajesh,
You are either ignorant of devil deeeds of Sahabuddin or pretending to be ignorant. The whole world knows what kind of "saint" Sahabuddin is. You can see the cases against him (somebody has put for you below to enrich your knowledge about this gangster).
Persons like you have encouraged these criminals to become monsters and destroy the society. You should be ashamed of yourself. You also tried to defend Laloo. You are some kind of nut, who does not understand the value of a civilized society.
Please do not make Bihar worst. It has already become a place of shame and the people are afraid to tell that he or she is from Bihar.
Dr. C. P. Thakur is a well known cardiologist and has saved lives of thousands of people in Bihar. So, do not dare to compare orange with aple. If you want to compare Sahabuddi, compare him with Laloo. They are "Mausere Bhai" in their acts.
God bless you and may good sense prevail in you

Sha'budin

The letter from mr.vivek should atleat open the eye of those supporting sha'budin. People like mr.prakash are mainly responsible for promoting goonda raj in bihar.

Mr. sha'din may personaly good to mr. praksh & some of the people of siwan, but one should think rationaly before supporting ones credential.

Mr. Prakash you must awake your wisdom. Think rationaly and Widen your thoughts. Think of those individual who has suffered because him.

Please, dont support any mafia or goons. Bihar is full of such people.

To Rajesh

You are again trying to defend Sahabuddin like Laloo. You are either relative of Laloo or Sahbuddin or a bastard of both. There are certain type of criminals like Sahabuddin, who has widowed so many women and orphaned so many children, needs to be punished so put behind the bar forever sot that other criminals (terrorists) like think twice to become a burden on the society. If you have any sense, try to find some kind of job so that you do not become a member of Sahabuddin gang. May good sense prevail to you.

Ravi

You are right about Rocket scientist but this is an old version. The new term for such comment these days is "Rockefeller Scientist", which is the most prestigious research institution and the place of most intellectual in the world and that's why, the people use "You do not have to be a Rockefeller Scientist" to solve the problem. You can enrich your dictionary.
Thanks.
