I don't think that Laloo ji did any thing for downtrodden, led any struggle for them while in opposition. What is your opinion about the socialists and communists like Ram manohar lohia or Swami sahajanand saraswati? What about the communist party members dead in Begusarai and Jehenebad fighiting against their own cast people? Did not Laloo ji proved them wrong and Pravin ji is doing the same with me? No i don't agree with their (communist's) economic principles, but i like their social attitude and i am rational and tolerant because of my long association with them. |

But English people made it so that both our agriculture (it also includes all other type of production), and buiseness gets ruined, only thing left was to live as a servant of English people. It is more or less an all India phenomenon but outside Bihar it is around of the intensity of 25% of that in Bihar, and is improving, in bihar it is worsenning as there has been no progress on mentality front after independence. | Posted By: Dr.Manish Kumar Posted On: Feb 12, 2004 Views: 516 | Social justice, development and Bihar Part-3 Hi friends, I am neither boasting the chances of UPPER CASTES INIRECTLY (Pravin ji) nor i am blaming one and only one caste for all the bad things in Bihar (thakur ji). I am just telling what is the truth about the present of Bihar, of course i can keep my view only. I need not to be frustrated as i am enjoying a life which is not possible for any usual Bihari even if he she is from the family of the 'traditionaly' best any Bihari can imagine. I don't want any one to be left with any confusion about my thoughts or about the responsibilities of downgrading of Bihar. I don't like to blame others for any thing and as a responsible human being i will like to the maximum possible/tolerable responsibility (that is why i always talk about Bhumihars and at the most about Brahmins and never about Rajput or Kayastha) and then will like to show the others also that their presence has effected the outcome. I am talking how to bring the train of development of Bihar on track. It can be done either by making the Laloo ji to understand the importance and ways of development with continued course of strengthenning of social justice (which i prefer), or by replacing him with someone who can do the same. And to be in a civilised society one should tolerate the criticism. How to bring prosperity to Bihar? Make every one educated, develop infrastructure, get electricity, get industries......! That is all. Development will come out of this screen and spread all over in you room?! No my brother, you will have to think where did "we" (it includes every one) go wrong. If you can't understand this it will appear only a nonsense. As i told earlier, untill you trust me you can't understand my view and i know to trust some one, few paragraphs is very short a period of acquantance. I will wait till you understand. Yes, back to my original topic, Laloo ji is still the most popular mass leader of Bihar and the moment he decides to do the things wright way he can do that. So when he inaugerated 150 things a day, the media people tried to make fun (indirectly), i was happy. It is good for Bihar in both the ways, either he has to do it, no hurry, he can do it over next 6 yrs (as 2005 elections he is anyway going to win); or the people will understand his hollowness. One thing is sure, whatever you people (kids) talk, the ghost of development has started scaring Laloo ji. Otherwise no need to do 150 inaugerations a day. Some people say that they (RJD leaders) don't know at all how to about development. But to me it is more that willingness as i have a first hand experience of one of our MP telling that if development makes someone to win, Indira Gandhi should never have lost, but poor chap, he lost the election. But one thing I realy regret about the Bihaaris, they come out of Bihar only for two things, either to be an IAS, or to wash plates in hotels! Some one can say that all Punjabis, Gujaratis, Marwaris and Sindhis in other states are refugees which is only partly correct, but i can see people from UP also doing nice buiseness. I know well to do people who are ready to die for few ft of land and kill each other but they don't want to come out of Bihar and become other 'KING MAHENDRA'! Because , because they have not been encouraged for the enterpreunership. That doesn't need Laaloo ji's support. If they support, it will be a Bihar based enterprise with which every Bihari will be benefited, if they don't support it will be a national enterprise, international enterprise! No, they all will come to the small small brokers who themselves will be psychophants of some leaders, and ' beg' for 'SERVANT'S' job and if could not get will become their enemies. They feel their self respect hurt! It is surprising. It is not progressive. It is just not healthy for the society in any era. If people take pride in becoming servants, they deserve only a Laloo prasad to rule. I will talk more tomorrow |

HC wants people to 'decide' TIMES NEWS NETWORK[ THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 2004 02:42:51 AM ] PATNA: The Patna High Court on Wednesday "consigned" the case filed by the Bihar Vyavsayik Sangharsh Morcha on the deteriorating law and order situation of the state. A division bench, comprising of Chief Justice Ravi S Dhavan and Justice Navin Sinha, observed that in a state where students consider it their right to use unfair means in the examinations and, if prevented, damage public property, it is upto the people of the state to decide what type of law and order situation and administration they want. The CJ also stated that if a person feels hurt in the present law and order situation of the state, he/she may file a fresh writ petition in the high court. But since much water has flowed down the Ganga in past one year without any fruitful result, it is of no use to keep the case alive, he stated. Earlier, in the counter affidavit filed on behalf of the government, it was stated that every police station of the state has been directed by the DGP to lodge all the FIRs. |

Your arguements are self contradictory. You can talk all day and all night about the present situation of Bihar and blame a single caste (from your comments, it is obvious you are blaming Bhumihar) or upper caste (Brahmin) and involve all the sociologists in the world, you will go nowhere. The devt of a state and country totally depends on dedicated leader or grp of leaders, who have visions and commitments and not by people, who just wants to grab power, like what has happened in Bihar and happening in African contries. There will be millinos of reasons for the degradation of a society but it is only the society who will change its future and that will depend on the intellectual products generated by that society. Going back to history and singing the song of your downfall is not the answer of Bihar. The devt of Bihar is still possible and that when the people of Bihar will realise what a garbage they are carrying on their back. It will neither be by the Naxalites or the communists or the socialists but by the people who wants to work hard, good governence, and dedicated people. |
